What’s the Difference Between an Estate Executor and Administrator in San Diego Probate?
As San Diego’s Probate expert, I get this question all the time. What is the difference between a San Diego Executor and a San Diego Administrator?
When the decedent has left a will, an executor is appointed and is responsible to carry out the directions and requests set forth in the will.
When appointed by the San Diego Probate Court, as an Administrator, the responsibility is to manage the estate of the individual who dies intestate. Intestate means the person passed away without leaving a will.
It’s as simple as that.
