Hoarded Probate Real Estate:
How to make the most money
from a hoarder home
Hoarder homes have become a popular subject in the last decade or so through reality TV. However, TV never tells the whole story and often times relatives, friends, and family of the hoarder are given the responsibility of preparing the hoarder home for sale on the real estate market and managing all the personal belongings after death. This is no easy task, and many times these homes are sold as probate real estate because the decedent never setup a will.
I have helped sell probate real estate in all forms, but many have been hoarder homes in San Diego, California. So what are the real estate questions in this situation? usually it is about how to make the most money, or many times estate executors are concerned about making any money at all. In San Diego real estate is always valuable, it is just about how much time and money is available to do the work.
