Bill Does His Best For His Friend
Upon his passing, Bill became the Executor of his friend’s estate. The Oceanside house and all the personal belongings were now Bill’s responsibility. He and his attorney Gary liquidated the personal property prior to interviewing San Diego real estate professionals for help with the San Diego house. Bill and Gary were looking for someone they could trust and had experience with selling property in a San Diego probate. And, they chose to work with Kim Ward, developer of San Diego ProbateAndTrustHelp.com. Bill and Gary completed cost effective repairs recommended by Kim to prepare the house for sale. The San Diego home was in good condition; the largest expense was to replace the worn carpeting.
The house went on the market and received offers within a couple weeks. A great offer was negotiated and escrow was opened. Kim emailed the seller disclosures to the buyer’s agent and unfortunately the buyers decided to not go through with the purchase because Bill’s friend had passed away in the house. Kim immediately began a new round of marketing and in the next few weeks found a VA buyer that was not concerned with the death in the house. All was going well until “Storm Watch 2014”; rains came to San Diego causing a roof leak and the side fence to fall down. Kim quickly found a roofing contractor and Bill negotiated the fence repair with the neighbor. Bill and Kim were a very effective team!
Two more weeks and the property was sold! Relieving Bill of any further responsibility for the house and allowing his attorney to begin the process of completing the San Diego probate.
