San Diego Probate; About
Designated Broker of Horizon Real Estate

Developer of Probate And Trust Help
Kim has been actively involved with real estate for 17 years. As far back as 1989, Kim and her husband, Dave, began purchasing and renovating residential property. They did this while working full time and raising four children. From these experiences Kim learned valuable critical thinking skills, successful multi-tasking, and how to nurture relationships. Their children have grown into independent, well-adjusted young adults, so those skills seem to have paid off.
In 1994 Kim made the decision to become a Real Estate Professional. In this capacity she draws on
her in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry to assist others with their real estate needs. Always for Kim the relationships she builds are the most important factor in her business. Kim says, “I tell my clients ….My purpose through the days, weeks, even months we will be working together is for you and I to come to trust each other and just as important, for you to be outrageously happy with the help that I provide.”
Kim’s life philosophy influences everything she does. It’s the “can do” approach to any challenge
coupled with her positive attitude that contributes to building a successful real estate business strictly by referrals.
“When you really love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. The energy I get from working with others to reach their goal is what motivates me.” says Kim.
Today, 80% of her business is focused on helping Estate Representatives and Attorneys through the process of preparing, marketing, and selling real estate.

Laura Massey, Licensed Assistant DRE#01874919
Laura is a licensed real estate agent who has worked with Kim and Horizon Real Estate for more than 5 years. Laura’s role is to help make the process of buying and selling real estate run more smoothly for Horizon clients. She has personally sold and purchased several homes and knows how stressful that process can sometimes be. That’s why, when working with their clients, Laura likes to remember what it feels like to be the client.
In a busy office with lots of multitasking going on, Laura points to the poster in her office. It’s the one of the duck gliding smoothly across the pond, while the legs under the water are paddling at breakneck speed. “That’s me” Laura says with a smile. “I want to make sure that our clients know they can count on me to get the job done no matter what. On the surface I remain calm, but underneath my legs are paddling quickly.“
Laura has a busy life outside of work with her husband and three children and her active involvement in community and church affairs. Communication is one of Laura’s key strengths. “I know the importance of prompt and efficient communication,” Laura says. “I know that our clients want to know what is happening with their real estate and they appreciate being kept informed and getting answers to their questions quickly.”
Laura is proud to be an active contributor on the Horizon Real Estate team.
